Summer Reading

The summer reading theme is “Build A Better World”

Welcome! If you’re looking for information about Adult Summer Reading, you have come to the right place. (If you’re looking for the teen summer challenge instead, check out the teen blog.)

Here’s what you need to know:

When is it? The Adult Summer Reading Challenge started on Saturday, June 10, and the final day to enter the raffle for prizes will be Tuesday, September 5. That’s almost three whole months!

How do you get started? Easy! Sign up for adult summer reading in person at the reference desk, or via our online form. It will take you less than a minute!

How do you participate? Visit the reference desk to get your first raffle ticket and pick up your double-sided bingo sheet. Earn more raffle tickets all summer by doing the activities in the bingo squares: read a novel, listen to an audiobook, visit the library table at the farmers’ market, attend a library program, and many more!

How do you win prizes? Write your name on the back of each raffle ticket you earn. Drop your raffle tickets in the prize box(es) of your choice on the summer reading display table next to the elevator in the main library lobby. We will contact prize winners after Labor Day in September.

This year’s summer reading theme is “Build A Better World.” Our prizes are related to the theme, but your reading doesn’t have to be – read anything you want!
