Arlington’s Libraries reopening June 21

Effective Monday, June 21, the Robbins Library and Fox Branch Library will resume normal hours and most services, no appointment necessary. All visitors, regardless of vaccination status, are asked to keep masks on inside. All children over age 2 and under age 12 must wear masks in the library.

Robbins Library hours as of 6/21:
Mon-Wed 9am-9pm (Children’s Room 9am-6pm)
Thurs 1pm-9pm
Fri 9am-5pm
Sat 9am-5pm (Sept-June)
Summer Saturdays July & August 9am-12pm

Fox Library hours as of 6/21:
Tues 9am-5pm
Wed 12pm-8pm
Thurs 9am-5pm
Fri 9am-5pm
Sat 9am-5pm (Sept-June)

The Reading Room will continue serving as a staff-only circulation area until it can be reconfigured for open holds, new books, and patron seating.

    Should be now. The state today is allowing full attendance at large scale gatherings such as Fenway Park. Inexcusably overcautiuos.

    • Hi David, thanks for your comment. Our reopening involves changing hours and staff schedules, as well as reversing some of the changes we made to our physical spaces during the pandemic. Unfortunately it cannot be an overnight process, much as we’d like it to be. Thanks again, and be well.
