What do you want to learn?

One of our August displays asks you: What do you want to learn?

One of the things we hear sometimes at the reference desk is a question prefaced by a tentative “I’m not a computer person…” or even sometimes “I’m computer illiterate.” As computers become more and more necessary in daily life, not just for communication but for important functions like applying for jobs, finding health care, and filing taxes, we at the library want to help you learn what you need to know.

To that end, this month’s display asks you what you want to learn. Basic computer skills? How to search the internet? Or something else? Your feedback will help us decide what topics to teach in the coming year. If you’re more of a solo learner, we have a small selection of computer books on the table, and you can find more on the second floor.
