Pokemon GO… To the Library!

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve probably noticed that Pokemon GO finally launched last week!  They’ve got the bugs mostly worked out at this point.  (Except maybe the Caterpies & Weedles that keep popping up in-game… But those are on purpose!)

Have no idea what I’m talking about?  Here’s Everything you wanted to know about Pokémon GO but were afraid to ask.

The library is crawling with Pokemon & trainers are welcome to help us catch ’em all!

While Robbins isn’t a Gym or Poke Stop, we are conveniently located near several Poke Stops (the Winfield Robbins Memorial Garden & Millennium Time Capsule stops are perfect for dropping 2 Lure Modules, sitting in the park, & catching a ton of Pokemon) and 2 Gyms.

The Fox branch itself is a Poke Stop & just down the street from another Gym!

While you’re in the area catching ’em all , drop by the library to cool off & check out some video games, books, DVDs, etc.

Want to play more Pokemon?  Check out Pokken Tournament or Super Smash Bros for the WiiU.  Or just peruse our adult, teen, & children’s video game collections. We’ve got a biography on the creator of Pokemon, Satoshi Tajiri, a geeky cookbook called Nerdy Nummies, and the gamer classic Ready Player One.  We’ve also got more anime, manga, & graphic novels than you can shake a Pokeball at.

Just started playing & don’t know exactly what to do?  Here are some handy tips for beginners!  We’ve also got some safety tips for trainers of all levels.

Internet privacy minded folks might want to do a little research to make sure they’re okay with some of the permissions & information that may be collected & transmitted.

Be informed, have fun, & be the very best, like no one ever was.
