Summer reading starts on Saturday, June 18! Sign up online or in person at the summer reading display table at the Robbins Library. Then fill out a raffle ticket for each book you read (or each audiobook you listen to), and put it in the prize box of your choice.

Once you have signed up, visit the reference desk; if you are one of the first 100 people to sign up, you will get a coupon for a free DVD rental from the library! (Feature films are $1/week – $2 for 1 on Wednesdays.)

This year’s summer reading theme, “Exercise your brain – read!” relates to the prizes, not your book choices – as always, you can read whatever you want!

This year’s prizes include:

  • Gift certificates to Arlington’s very own Book Rack
  • Card games, board games, and crossword puzzle books
  • A bocce ball set
  • Classes at Black Crow Yoga in Arlington

Of course, the real prize is discovering books you love. What do you plan to read this summer? If you’re looking for ideas, try our Book Recommendations page, recent posts about new fiction, or ask a librarian!
