At our August book chat, we’ll be discussing epistolary books. Read “What’s an epistolary novel?” to learn more and get suggestions in advance of our book chat.
Some examples of recent epistolary novels include:
- Dear Committee Members by Julie Schumacher
- Martin Harbottle’s Appreciation of Time by Dominic Utton
- Ketchup Clouds by Annabel Pitcher (author of My Sister Lives on the Mantelpiece, an Arlington Reads Together book)
- S by J.J. Abrams and Doug Dorst
And of course, there’s the delightful The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Shaffer and Annie Barrows, as well as Barrows’ newest novel, The Truth According to Us, which is partly epistolary as well.
As always, all are welcome to attend our book chat, and all attendees are welcome to bring suggestions – this is a casual discussion. A book list will be provided, with space to make your own notes as the conversation flows.
Join us in the Robbins Library Conference Room at 7pm on Monday, August 24.
