Apple picking, pumpkin patches, hayrides and more!

Fall is my favorite season, and here in New England, I always look forward to going apple picking each fall. The Boston Globe has put together a helpful guide of the farms and orchards across the state that offer pick-your-own apples. You can use the list or the map to find the closest farm, or look for your favorite special feature, such as:

  • hayrides
  • a pumpkin patch
  • apple cider
  • cider donuts
  • a corn maze
  • pony rides
  • petting zoo
  • farm stand
  • country market
  • winery

It would take years – or at least one very busy and determined season – to visit each and every farm and orchard. My favorite so far is Honeypot Hill Orchard in Stow, MA. What’s your favorite? Leave us a note in the comments!

And perhaps more importantly – what do you like to do with all those apples once you have them home?

Come see our apple picking display, pick up a list of orchards in MA, and vote for your favorite!
