Staff Picks Book Group reads Above All Things (this week) and Train Go Sorry (June)

aboveallthingsJoin us this Wednesday, May 14 at 7pm in the Robbins Library conference room as we discuss this month’s Staff Pick, Above All Things by Tanis Rideout. Above All Things tells of explorer and mountain-climber George Mallory and his wife, Ruth, as George attempts to summit Everest, and Ruth waits for him to return safely home to England.

traingosorryAnd save the date for next month’s Staff Pick, Train Go Sorry: Inside A Deaf World by Leah Hager Cohen; the discussion will be on Thursday, June 12, at 7pm. Cohen has written several books of fiction and nonfiction; her latest novel is No Book But the World, and her most recent nonfiction book is I Don’t Know: In Praise of Admitting Ignorance and Doubt. Copies of Train Go Sorry will be available at the circulation desks at the Robbins and Fox libraries, or you can request a copy through the catalog link above.

Cohen will be making a special appearance at the Robbins Library on Monday, June 16, at 7pm, so mark your calendars now!
