Library Reads: Librarians’ Top Ten

Library-Reads-Logo-Color-266x300Launched in September 2013, Library Reads is a list that is put together by library staff all across the country. Anyone who works in a public library can read upcoming books in advance, and vote on their favorites; the ten books with the most votes are that month’s Library Reads.

The goal of Library Reads is “to help connect our favorite books to as many readers as possible.” Library Reads is different from a lot of other lists because “We’re not trying to pick ‘the best’ of anything, and there are no judges or juries. The monthly list will be our collective favorites – the books we loved reading and cannot wait to share!” Check out the Library Reads FAQ to learn more,  or go straight to the books themselves. The February 2014 list just came out, and you can see that list as well as all of the previous lists in the archive. You may find that your list of books to read just got longer!
