The Not-So-Young Adult Book Group will be meeting on Monday, September 9th at 7pm in the Robbins Library Conference Room. We’ll be discussing Bootleg: Murder, Moonshine, and the Lawless Years of Prohibition by Karen Blumenthal.
If you haven’t picked up your copy yet, there’s still time to grab it today or tomorrow (yes, we’re open on Saturdays starting this weekend!) and read it before Monday’s meeting. It’s short, but packed with fascinating facts, stories, and photos. I think I read it in a day!
This is our first non-fiction pick for the NSYA Book Group, and I think it was a great choice. If you’re interested in history, crime, the 1920s, social movements, or booze, there is something for you in this book. We’ll have a lot to discuss on Monday night!
