Adult Summer Reading Prizes

Adults have been reading up a storm this summer, and we’re glad to say that there are some pretty fabulous prizes for this year’s summer reading program at the library. If you’ve registered and filled out even one raffle ticket, you’re eligible to win…and of course, the more books you read, the more raffle tickets you can fill out, the greater your chances of winning.

So, without further ado, the prizes!

charlesriverkayakGrand Prize: One (1) lucky reader will receive a $100 gift certificate to Charles River Canoe & Kayak, as well as a $25 gift certificate to Arlington’s own Book Rack.

Bookworm Extraordinaire: Five (5) lucky readers will receive a $50 gift certificate to Charles River Canoe & Kayak. These gift certificates don’t expire for seven years, and can be used for rentals, classes, or tours at any of the five locations: Allston/Brighton, Cambridge, Newton, Natick, and Newton/Needham. If you prefer winter sports to water sports, you’re in luck – these gift certificates can also be used at the Weston Ski Track or the Kendall Community Ice Rink.

bookrackReader Rabbit: Three (3) lucky readers will receive a $25 gift certificate to the Book Rack, located at 13 Medford Street in Arlington. Buy books for yourself or as gifts for the other readers in your life!

From Page to Screen: Ten (10) lucky readers will receive a bundle of five coupons for free DVD rentals from the library’s feature film collection. These coupons can be used in combination and do not expire.

The prize drawing will be September 3. Winners will receive a call or an e-mail, and can pick up their prizes at the reference desk at Robbins or the main desk at Fox (depending on where you registered).

There’s still plenty of time until September 3, so remember to stop by the library and fill out a raffle slip for each book you read!
