Teen Summer Reading: Delve into Dystopia

Delve Into DystopiaAre you a proud parent of a teen who is a voracious reader?  Or maybe you are a guardian of a teen who needs to get out of the house this summer?  Then send them to the Robbins or Fox Library to sign up for the Delve into Dystopia Teen Summer Challenge .  What if they don’t like dystopian books?  That is okay!  They can read whatever they want.   What if they don’t like reading, that breaks my heart a little, but we have plenty of events they can come to as well!

Details:

How does it work?  Teens join the rebellion and compete to move up the ranks to achieve buttons and add gear to their survival kits. The more points they get, the better chance they have of winning the grand prize of a Nexus 7″ tablet.

They can register anytime between now and September 7th at 5:00 PM. They can log their books starting June 15th at 9:00 AM through September 7th at 5:00 PM.

Registration is in the library. Teens who register will be entered into raffles to win hand crank radios, Amazon gift cards, and the grand prize tablet.   Are you away for most of the summer? Print your registration here and your log here. Click here for printable bonus form. Return them to the library by September 7th at 5:00 PM.
**Is 64 points just too easy? Here is an additional challenge to reach a total of 128 points**

Events:

Looking for some things for your teen to do this summer?  We have plenty of events.  The first kickoff event is the Library Lockdown Tuesday, July 2nd from 8:00 PM – 12:00 AM in the Robbins Library Community Room.  Teens will survive the end of the world by coming to the Library.  There will be pizza, snacks, crafts, and an Interactive screening of the Hunger Games.

We also have a survival workshop, Yoga, martial arts, book groups, a murder mystery night, movie screenings and more.  For a full list of events and details, click here.
