Ryan Livergood, Library Director *and* Chairful Where You Sit Juror

Here’s your chance to get to know Library Director Ryan Livergood in a new light, and learn about a fantastic interactive art installation coming to Arlington.  The creative, community-minded folks running the 2013 Chairful Where You Sit exhibit interviewed Ryan for their blog. Read the interview here, and find out which artistic pursuits he gave up to become a librarian. Also, what’s his favorite museum/arts organization to visit in the greater Boston area?  It’s in there!

This year’s installation will take place during the week of July 21 – July 28, 2013. The interactive angle?  This is an art installation that you’re actually encouraged to sit on. Need a new self-portrait for your facebook page? Strike a pose on an artful chair. Chairs may be purchased by the public to help support Arlington Public Art’s programs and events.  All chairs will be available for purchase by the public for a donation of at least $100 and will support Arlington Public Art’s future events. A selection of chairs will be auctioned on eBay. Artists may request 50% of the purchase price or may donate the full sale amount to APA.
