Have you been to the Boston Book Festival yet? Now in its fourth year, the BBF brings together authors and readers for a full day of free programs and events. Yes, free! All daytime events are completely free of charge – purchased tickets are required only for the keynote speaker. This year, the keynote will be given by Richard Ford, author of the recent popular novel Canada. The BFF will be on October 27 in Copley Square. Here’s a schedule of the day’s free events and their descriptions.
As part of the Festival’s mission to promote a culture of literature and ideas, they sponsor One City, One Story. This is similar to a community read but features a short story instead of a whole book, and copies are made available for free. You can pick up a copy of this year’s story, “The Lobster Mafia Story” by Anna Solomon, right here at the Robbins Library.
