Margot Livesey, author of The Flight of Gemma Hardy (as well as many other novels, including Eva Moves the Furniture and The House on Fortune Street), will be coming to the Robbins Library on Wednesday, August 22, at 6:30pm. She will read from Gemma – an inventive retelling of Jane Eyre set in 1950s Scotland – and discuss some of her favorite summer books, in conversation with Robbins librarian Jenny Arch.
This “booktalk” is a great opportunity to find out about a wide variety of books. We’ll be recommending our favorites, including books old and new, popular and less well known. Audience participation is also welcome – ask questions or share your favorite books with us. If you love to read, like to talk about books, or enjoy meeting authors, this event is for you. Livesey will also be selling and signing copies of Gemma after the reading and talk.
This booktalk is free and open to the public. Mark your calendars!
