It’s not too early to pick up a copy of this year’s Community Read, The Fault in Our Stars by John Green. If you’ve already read TFIOS – as fans affectionately abbreviate the book – head over to the Robbins Library discussion board on Goodreads. There, you can read reviews and quotes, answer discussion questions, and pose your own questions about the book.
Readers might also be interested in author John Green’s 3 1/2 minute video about the book (no spoilers, so don’t worry if you haven’t read it yet). Be warned – he talks fast!
From the video: “‘So what inspired you to write The Fault in Our Stars?’ Almost twelve years ago I worked as a student chaplain at a children’s hospital and ever since then I’ve been trying to write a funny, honest story about it and it just, you know, took a while. A long while.”
Remember to head over to Goodreads to discuss the book. If you aren’t already a member, signing up for Goodreads is free, and it’s a great way to keep track of what you’ve read, as well as what’s on your to-read list. You can also follow friends’ reviews and see what’s on their “shelves.” Librarians update the Robbins Library Goodreads account frequently with ratings and reviews – you can sign up to follow or “friend” us!
